A calm sanctuary in the heart of Mina El Hosn, Villa D articulates a hierarchy of formal and private spaces across multiple levels.
The ground floor mediates between garden and interior, with a formal living room, dining area, and kitchen oriented to maximize views and access to the planted garden. Large oak trees frame the main living spaces, while a citrus grove adjacent to the kitchen introduces greenery and daylight to service areas. The living room floor is executed in custom Carrara marble with Nero Marquina inlays, each tile defined by a zero point detail that reinforces the geometric order of the space.
The first floor is devoted to the master suite, comprising a bedroom, dual dressing areas, and a bathroom overlooking the first-floor patio and pool, establishing a private suite organized around light and view. The second floor contains the children’s wing, arranged around a triple-arched open TV room and four en-suite bedrooms. Venetian floor tiles and soft blue wall tiles modulate the scale and character, creating a layered spatial experience that is simultaneously refined and playful.
The lower levels accommodate functional and recreational programs, including a wine cellar with tasting room, cinema, gym, and an indoor pool with steam, sauna, and massage facilities, forming a sequence of enclosed, intimate volumes.
Materiality is carefully articulated to reinforce spatial hierarchy: upper floors use Carrara marble floors and white walls to create a light, expansive atmosphere, while the lower levels combine Carrara floors with striped wood paneling and integrated doors, producing a warmer, tactile, and more introspective environment.
